Important Instructions for admission in M. Sc Programme 2024-25

  • 1. Admission is open to Indian Nationals who have passed or appeared in the qualifying examination and fulfill the eligibility criteria.
  • 2. The candidate must himself/herself ensure his/her eligibility to appear in the respective entrance test of a particular Program.
  • 3. The candidates whose result of the qualifying examination has not been declared by the date of filling the online form are required to upload the undertaking (Annexure B of the admission information brochure for M.Sc Programme) regarding the submission of all required documents by August 31, 2024
  • 4. Candidates not domiciled in the U.P. will be eligible to take admission against the general (open) category only.
  • 5. The reservation policy, as prescribed by the U.P. State Government, shall be applicable for admissions of UP domicile candidates only.
  • 6. . Both vertical and horizontal reservations are applicable for admission to the M.Sc programmes.
  • 7. Admissions in M.Sc programmes will be completed in 2 phases in order of preference.
    • i. In the first phase, applicants with CUET(PG)-2024 will be considered.
    • ii. The university will conduct a Malaviya Entrance Test-2024 for admission in all M.Sc programmes against the vacant seats. A merit list will be prepared based on the scorecard from the Entrance Examination, and preference will be given in sequence to CUET(PG)-2024 and then Malaviya Entrance Test-2024.
  • 8. Candidates seeking admission through the University Admission Test (MET-2024) should select the option “NOT APPLICABLE” for “National Level Admission Test” in Programme Selection Tab.
  • 9. The tentative date of the Malaviya Entrance Examination (MET 2024) is July 13, 2024. The examination will be held offline at MMMUT Gorakhpur. MET 2024 will be 100 marks of 2 hours 30 minutes duration. For the syllabus, refer to the Admission Information Brochure for M.Sc Programme 2024-25 (Appendix C).
  • 10. Candidates are required to pay a registration / counselling fee of Rs. 2,500/- (Non- Refundable).
  • 11. The allotment of seats will be based on the student's choices, purely on merit.
