Important Instructions for admission in M.Tech Programme 2024-25
1. Admission is open to Indian Nationals who have passed or appeared in the qualifying examination and fulfill the eligibility criteria.
2. The candidate must himself/herself ensure his/her eligibility to appear in the respective entrance test of a particular Program.
3. The candidates in respect of whom the result of the qualifying examination has not been declared by the date of filling the online form are required to upload the undertaking (Annexure B of admission brochure) regarding submission of all required documents by August 31, 2024
4. Candidates not domiciled in the U.P. will only be eligible for admission against the general (open) category.
5. The reservation policy, as prescribed by the U.P. State Government, applies to admissions of UP domicile candidates only.
6. Only vertical reservation is applicable for M.Tech students.
7. All GATE-qualified candidates shall receive a monthly stipend as per the norms of AICTE.

Admissions in M.Tech. programmes will be completed in the following 3 phases in order of preference.
a) In the first phase, valid GATE scorecard holders will be invited and given first priority.
b) In the second phase, applicants with CUET(PG)- 2024 will be considered against the vacant seat. The order of preference in sequence will be i) Engineering degree with CUET (PG) 2024, ii) MCA degree with CUET(PG) 2024, iii) M.Sc. degree with CUET(PG) 2024, wherever applicable.
c) In the third phase, candidates will be admitted against the vacant seat on the merit basis of the university admission test (Malaviya Entrance Test-2024) tentatively scheduled to be held on July 13, 2024, in offline mode at MMMUT Gorakhpur
9. Candidates seeking admission through the
University Admission Test (MET-2024)
should select the option “NOT APPLICABLE” for “National Level Admission Test” in Programme Selection Tab.
10. Candidates seeking admission in M. Tech- Computer Science & Engineering and M.Tech Information Technology should fill a single form.
11. The tentative date of the Malaviya Entrance Examination (MET 2024) is July 13, 2024. The examination will be held in offline mode at MMMUT Gorakhpur. MET 2024 will be 100 marks of 2 hours 30 minutes duration. For the syllabus, refer to the Admission Information Brochure for M.Tech Programme 2024-25 (Appendix C).
12. Candidates are required to pay a registration / counselling fee of Rs. 2,500/- (Non-Refundable).
13. The allotment of seats will be based on the student's given choices, purely on merit.
