ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur has been established in year 2013 by Govt. of Uttar Pradesh in the form of a Non-Affiliating Technical University after reconstituting the Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College, Gorakhpur which was established in 1962. Fifty-six batches of students have entered its portals to emerge after 4 years of rigorous education under the tutelage of some of the most venerable teachers, engineers ready to face the world and create new world. There are total 11 Departments after recent establishment of 4 new departments which offer B. Tech., M. Tech., MCA, MBA and Ph.D. courses in various specializations. The university is in the eastern part of the city on Gorakhpur - Deoria road, about 9 Kilometers from Gorakhpur Railway Station as well as from main Gorakhpur Roadways bus-station. It is a fully residential technological University, with seven boys' hostels, four girls' hostels, and residences for faculty and staff.
ABOUT THE POCO WORKSHOP
The IEEE Region 10 Panel of Conference Organizers (POCO) is a high level annual International Workshop held for event organizers throughout the countries of Region 10 having 58 Sections. IEEE UP Section
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Incorporated (IEEE) is a nonprofit corporation, incorporated in the state of New York on 16 March 1896. The purpose of the IEEE is to engage exclusively in scientific and educational activities within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, directed toward the advancement of the theory and practice of electrical, electronics, communications and computer engineering, as well as computer science, the allied branches of engineering and the related arts and sciences, which benefit the engineering profession and the public. The Uttar Pradesh Section is located in Region 10, and is represented at the India Council. As authorized by the IEEE Board of Directors, the IEEE Member and Geographic Activities Board (known as IEEE Regional Activities Board prior to 1 January 2008) approved the establishment and boundaries of the IEEE Uttar Pradesh Section on 11 May 1992. The Uttar Pradesh Section conducts activities which assist the local IEEE members to enhance their professional careers and their communities.
